Automod

Filters that delete unwanted messages the moment they arrive, what happens to the sender, who and where is exempt, and anti-raid.

Text filters

Fake Nitro, fake gifts and known scam domains. On by default.
Invites to other servers. Your own server's invites are always allowed.
Any link, except the domains you allow here.
Words and phrases you don't want to see. * matches anything: bad* also catches badly.
SHOUTING. Only messages with enough letters are checked.

What happens

The message is always deleted. Warnings count towards the automatic punishments set in Moderation; one punishment per burst, so a flood of 30 messages isn't 30 warnings.

Anti-raid and new accounts

Many joins in a few seconds is a raid: staff are alerted and, if you choose, the joiners are timed out, kicked or the server is locked down.

Discord's own switches: nobody new can join through invites and members can't DM each other. Lifted when the raid ends.
Young accounts
Kick accounts created less than this long ago (0 = off). Good against throwaway alts.

Hacked accounts

Honeypot channel
An empty channel nobody should post in. Whoever does (staff, bots and webhooks aside) is caught: the message and their last hour of messages are deleted, and they get a case.
It goes to the top of the channel list, with a pinned warning not to post there.

A Discord AutoMod rule on member names, for scammers posing as Discord or your staff. Roles with moderation permissions are exempt.

Whole words, any case; * matches anything (*support* also catches supportteam). Members with such a name can't chat, talk or react until they change it.
